2 New Recordings Just Added

| No comments yet
All right, finally got back to mixing the latest of Michael Tevlin's nice takes on Ricky in two songs.

Ricky and Helen are atop Mount Cathedral, and Michael laid down a terrific track on Out On A Limb 2Find it here.  My vocals still play Helen's vocal on this song, but Ricky's best friend Bo shows up again.

Bo's stupidity plays a vital part in the story!

The other new track is Hey HoFind it here.  Deby Elis plays the busty Margo, and here Michael gives another knockout performance on the track as Ricky.  Hey ho!!

New Land with Ricky's track

entry_doodad_3.jpgMichael rocked again and did a terrific take on New Land.  His interpretation of the middle part where Ricky speak-sings is especially nice.  Lots of soul. Loads of passion.  Yes!

Knockout vocal on medley

entry_doodad_2.jpgMichael Tevlin gave another great track for four songs where Ricky sings.  The first one of this session was the first Freedom And Mercy song.  Pretty airy and ethereal. Listen to it on the song's page.

Three short song string together with one of Helen's in a trio of the passion Ricky and Helen are building.  Michael's tracks rock.  Listen to I Have A Picture/Give/Freedom And Mercy 2 at it's song page.

Really good stuff.  Michael rocks.

New vocal tracks for Ricky in Suntown rock

| No comments yet
Ricky! Michael Tevlin rocked last night on the vocal tracks of Ricky in Suntown and Out On A Limb.  Check out the songs on the song's page.

Not only did Michael rock royally with his pipes and inflections, this is the first track of the demo recordings (currently in progress!) where three of the story's main characters are in the same song - Ricky, Margo and Dr Gaylord. Sweet.

New talent for Ricky in Suntown

| No comments yet
Ricky! All right, new talent is on the way in Ricky's character, starting off with Suntown and Out On A Limb.  Michael is planning on bringing Ricky's voice to life, as he redoes the tracks I've got of Ricky so far.  Yay!

The new tracks will hopefully come soon, and you can hear the break out songs for the new recording at Ricky's main character page (go to the bottom of that page) .  This is how these recordings are done - break down the character's parts in the song, put it on the site for download or listening, and put a copy of the same tracks without the vocal so it can be practiced.  The lyric sheet is available too.  Fun!

The Latest Is Up On The Site

| No comments yet
A mad rush of uploading and creating pages for the songs that I have so far recorded are up on this site.  Whew again!

The songs for most of the first act is online and you can read it in the Opera section.  Go>  The story ends on this page where Ricky and Helen are alone on the mountaintop (oooh!) and their love is cresting just as Helen is starting to realize some deeply important things about herself.

It's been a while since I done a lot of recording for F&M because of the move to Vancouver.  Geez, I need to keep that going, and I've been writing the keyboard part for How Many Times Have I Hear This? Go> and have laid down a guitar track on that one.  More later!

And more images will be added to these content pages as I get them.  Whew (wait, I already said that).

Let me know what you think and how things are going in your neck of the woods.

Creating This Web Site (whew)

| No comments yet
OK, I've been busily creating new pages with the songs, lyrics, and story of F&M.  Pulling straight from the libretto I started two years ago after the first live performance and fundraiser.  A few parts added to help things along web site-wise.

Pretty darn exciting!  Check it out thus far by going to the opera section.  Go>

More later, after I get my resume in order...
